ASHTANGA VINYASA 60

In this Ashtanga vinyasa class, we will use the primary series of Ashtanga yoga to create a challenging 60-minute, non-heated, vinyasa flow. The Ashtanga yoga primary series is a set of poses linked with movement, breath, and gaze points. The series is designed to focus the mind, build heat, stretch, and strengthen the body. This class will be guided by Malissa and modifications will be offered to make this class suitable for students at all levels of experience.

Pre-registration is required.

*This class is offered in the studio. Please register at least one hour prior to the start time. Space is limited and if you cannot attend, please cancel your registration so others may join us. Masks are recommended for all students and required for practice in the studio if you are not vaccinated.

Dear AYB students past and present,

I hope this finds you and your loved ones happy and well.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support and positive energy for the last seven (yes! SEVEN!) years that Ashtanga Yoga Buffalo has been in business. It is that very support and energy that has formed the bedrock of our community, and I am deeply grateful for it.

This is a bittersweet moment for me, dear students, for I have decided to close AYB as of June 1, 2021 so that I may pursue my work as a full-time Doula and advocate for reproductive rights for families.

Ashtanga Yoga Buffalo has been the only program in Western New York offering a traditional full Mysore program for the last 7 years. The community and teachers have prided themselves on a deep personal connection, community, and practicing yoga on and off the mat.

When COVID hit, we moved our platform online and have continued with a steady stream of scheduling. Seeing your faces every morning has truly been wonderful! However, the time has come for me to make a change.
