Or through the mind-body app. Hope to see you there!
Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga is for anyone interested in learning the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series in the Mysore style format. No previous yoga experience is required. Students begin by slowly learning the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga, pose by pose, one on one, in a group setting, and at their own pace. You can think of it as a private yoga session, in a group setting, using the primary series of poses from the Ashtanga Yoga sequence.
If you’re looking to deepen your understanding of yoga poses, learn some basic yoga Sanskrit, gain strength and flexibility, body awareness, and build a self-practice then this class would be a great fit!
Pre-registration is required.
What to bring:
- yoga mat
*This class is currently offered in the studio. Please register at least one hour prior to the start time. Space is limited and if you cannot attend, please cancel your registration so someone on the waitlist can join us. Masks are required for practice if you are not fully vaccinated.
Dear AYB students past and present,
I hope this finds you and your loved ones happy and well.
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support and positive energy for the last seven (yes! SEVEN!) years that Ashtanga Yoga Buffalo has been in business. It is that very support and energy that has formed the bedrock of our community, and I am deeply grateful for it.
This is a bittersweet moment for me, dear students, for I have decided to close AYB as of June 1, 2021 so that I may pursue my work as a full-time Doula and advocate for reproductive rights for families.
Ashtanga Yoga Buffalo has been the only program in Western New York offering a traditional full Mysore program for the last 7 years. The community and teachers have prided themselves on deep personal connection, community, and practicing yoga on and off the mat.
When COVID hit, we moved our platform online and have continued with a steady stream of scheduling. Seeing your faces every morning has truly been wonderful! However the time has come for me to make a change.
You may see me in your inbox still from time to time with news, workshops, flash programs, and free book clubs. And should you know anyone who may be seeking the support of a Doula, either in person or virtually, I would deeply appreciate an introduction via email. You can also send them along to my website: www.Malissalarson.com
Again, let me say a deep and sincere thank you for your support and trust over the years. It has meant the world to me.
Take good care and practice practice practice!
