Greetings from Ann Arbor. I landed late last night in my Chevy Spark rental, windows down, podcasts blaring. Lo and behold the place I’ve rented is a frat house in moderate occupation.
Leaking energy is a thing and it may leave you feeling drained and exhausted during the day. Perhaps you want and need to slow down but just don’t know how, feel you can’t, or don’t see the value.
One of my first yoga classes was at a women’s fitness gym called Lucille Roberts in midtown Manhattan circa 2004. The class was held in a brightly lit room surrounded by mirrors, ellipticals, and stationary bikes.
Marichyasana D was my greatest teacher. Adjusting me in that pose was like wrangling my cat Buddha into his carrier. The pose reflected back to me some things I’d not been able to see without the challenge
Practicing alone takes courage. You have to believe in your intuition and give space for amendments when things aren’t like they were before. Uncontrolled temperature freaks me out and I LOVE to smell incense upon my first sun A stretch.
