Today I watched a student navigate her practice with a wrist brace and a smile. “I had no idea you could back-bend using your fist!” She exclaimed with joy! While maintaining breath, bhanda and deep concentration she explored what her wrist could do without pain. She is not sure what is going on and there is some fear about what the future holds. However, she and I trust that a potential to heal is there. There is a strong held belief that the root of the daily ashtanga mysore yoga ritual is exploration and navigation of the body and mind. In the fire of practice and method, there is the potential to heal all things using radical curiosity, patience, and playfulness.

I suggested she bedazzle her wrist brace…She agreed it was a number one priority 🙂
